Our clients include solicitors, accountants, bankers, teachers and management. We have negotiated amicable departures for legal and non-legal staff from many of the top 20 firms.
No matter what sector, most employees will go through their working lives with problems that can be resolved with goodwill on both sides. We always encourage a low key and practical approach and will not turn molehills into expensive mountains.
However, we also know that there are occasions when you will need to defend your corner vigorously and we will do this in a professional way on your behalf. In fact the highest award in England for unfair dismissal in 2010-2011 was our case.
However, most cases get settled without a hearing and we always try and resolve disputes before a claim is issued as this enables the employee to move on from an unhappy work situation and importantly saves expensive fees. The value of this approach must work as over 90% of our new clients are by recommendation.
We offer an initial appointment of around 30 minutes at £100 plus vat. If our advice is that unfortunately you have no claim then you will pay no more. If we advise that you do then we will agree a forward budget with you which we will not exceed without your approval. You may find that you have insurance which will pay some or all of legal fees and we will explore this possibility with you. We do not normally offer contingency fees or conditional fees commonly known as “no win no fee” as these often result in hefty deductions from compensation. We will however give you a realistic appraisal of your prospects of success.
